Having epilepsy or caring for someone who does can be challenging. When epilepsy is diagnosed, it affects the whole family. Sometimes the practical problems of daily living – from insurance, to jobs, to medical care – may seem overwhelming. At other times, it helps just to talk to people who understand what its like to live with epilepsy.
Some people and their families living with epilepsy report a need for support and education within the epilepsy community. The Epilepsy Foundation Alaska Education and Networking Groups are designed to provide this to those who are interested in connecting with others living with epilepsy.
The groups listed here are open to anyone living or connected to epilepsy. These epilepsy groups are not intended to furnish medical advice or professional psychotherapy. The Epilepsy Foundation Alaska is not liable for the information presented at meetings.
For further information on any of the groups listed below, please contact EFAK at 206-487-5251 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
All our meetings are for people living with epilepsy or family members impacted by epilepsy.
